A unique feature of Notre Dame High School is its NJROTC program

(Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps) is sponsored by the U.S. Navy
and is a secondary school program for students in 8th - 12th grades. The Notre
Dame NJROTC program is a rewarding challenge that instills respect, self-
discipline, and builds leadership traits along with the Navy’s core values:
HONOR, COURAGE, COMMITMENT. All this will help teach the needed self-
determination skills to assist students in successfully accomplishing lifes goals.
Notre Dame's NJROTC program has been very successful over the years,
earning Distinguished Unit citations for seven years in a row, while competing
on the National level in Drill, Orienteering and academics.
Our unit provides various activities, including Drill Teams, Color Guard, Cyber-
Patriot, Drone team, Academic (brain Brawl and JLAB), and Air Rifle Shooting
NJROTC stresses the importance of community service. Notre Dame's NJROTC
unit is no different; you can almost always see a Notre Dame Cadet participate
in many meaningful causes around the community, including the annual
Veteran's and Memorial Day Parades, Flags for Heroes, and other service
projects. The cadets' community service teaches and reinforces new skills such
as assuming responsibility, while putting them in a leadership position and
exposing the cadets to the needs of the outside world.
Notre Dame's NJROTC program is enriching. Upon completion of the program,
students can be justifiably proud of their accomplishments. It is a program of
determination, responsibility, and hard work that will not go unnoticed. You will
stand a little taller, having worked a little harder. None of the Cadets are
recruited or obligated to enter the military. To learn more about the Notre Dame NJROTC program, please view the student-run websitehttps://notredamenjrotc.org/
