Substiture Teacher
Substitute teachers are contacted as work becomes available (as teacher's require). Applicants should have flexible availability and be able to work from 7:30 a.m. - 2:40 p.m. or the length of time a substitute is needed for.
Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction to students in the absence of the regular teacher
- Follow lesson plans and ensure continuity of learning
- Maintain a positive and engaging classroom environment
- Manage student behavior and enforce school policies
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Collaborate with other staff members to support student success
- Provide feedback to regular teachers regarding student progress
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (required)

SUMMARY:
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate English Teacher to join our dedicated faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a range of high school English courses, fostering students' literacy skills and love of language and literature. This position requires a strong commitment to the integration of faith and values into the curriculum and classroom environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement engaging and rigorous English curricula aligned with state standards and the school's mission.
- Teach a variety of English courses, potentially including, but not limited to English 7-12, AP English Literature and Composition, Dual Credit English courses, and/or other specialized English electives.
- Create and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters student growth and development.
- Use effective teaching methods and strategies to differentiate instruction and meet the diverse needs of all learners.
- Assess student learning through a variety of methods, including essays, presentations, projects, and standardized tests.

SUMMARY:
Notre Dame Junior-Senior High School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will be a versatile musician and educator capable of teaching a variety of music courses, including instrumental music (band/orchestra), choral music, and general music classes. This individual will inspire students to develop their musical talents, appreciate diverse musical styles, and contribute to the rich cultural life of our school community, all within the context of our Catholic faith.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective music lessons in instrumental music (band/orchestra), choral music, and general music theory/appreciation.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive music curriculum that aligns with diocesan and state standards, while integrating Catholic values and traditions.
- Instruct students in music theory, sight-reading, ear training, and performance techniques.
- Conduct rehearsals and performances for various school events, including liturgical celebrations, concerts, and community outreach programs.
- Provide individual and small group instruction to students as needed.
- Manage and maintain musical instruments and equipment.
- Organize and direct school concerts, performances, and participation in music festivals and competitions.

Guidance Counselor - Full Time
SUMMARY:
Responsible for providing counseling and advisement services to students, teachers, and families to develop personal, religious, social, emotional, educational, and/or vocational skills and values.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Provide academic and emotional counseling for students, primarily grades 9-12.
- Identify and develop creative intervention methods and procedures to adapt effectively to unusual situations; participate in coordination, monitoring, and reporting of student interventions.

Serve as a resource specialist for teachers and parents regarding counseling needs.
-
Work with students, parents, and staff in a compassionate and productive manner.
-
Assist teachers in effective planning, organizing, and implementation of strategies for optimum behavior management.

Serve as a liaison to school staff and outside resources; maintain consistency and continuity in the school’s response procedures.

Provide guidance to teachers in working with student behavior and classroom management; implement an effective referral and follow-up process.

Demonstrate exceptional counseling techniques including documentation and student tracking.

Provide appropriate information to staff related to the comprehensive school counseling program.

Assist teachers, parents/guardians, and other responsible parties in interpreting and understanding student data.

Monitor and supervise student activities as appropriate.

Create/maintain the master schedule throughout the year in collaboration with the administration.

Serve as the school AP Coordinator, ensuring all deadlines are met with College Board including registration of students and teachers for AP courses and exams.

Conduct junior and senior meetings with students and parents for purposes of transcript/credit evaluations and college application process.

Schedule and facilitate college visits both on and off campus.

Facilitate college/parent night workshops for families.
-
Conduct student support meetings with faculty and parents/students and maintain regular contact with families of struggling students throughout the year to update on progress.

Coordinate college application process to ensure all appropriate evaluations, documentation, recommendations, transcripts, etc. are delivered to colleges in a timely fashion through Common App and other school-specific application management systems.

Maintain confidentiality of school records and other student information.
-
Perform other duties as assigned.

Must be able to work 40 hours weekly, 11 months (September 1 – June 30, plus 1 month during the Summer), during regular school hours (7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.), Monday – Friday. Attendance at weekly meetings after school and other school events is required.
